2013 NBA All-Star Game Recap: Video Highlights and Stats

The West beat the East in this year’s NBA All-Star Game 143-138. The West grabbed a 5 point lead in the first quarter and used that cushion to coast to victory. The West outperformed getting more assists, steals and blocks while the East grabbed more rebounds. The East just wasn’t “up to speed” in this game as the West “beat the heat” with more fast breaks (38 vs 21) and more points on the paint (88 vs 66).

Chris played 27 minutes and managed to sink in 20 points and dish out 15 assists. Although Chris Paul won the MVP award, the man of the hour in my opinion was Kevin Durant who swished in 30 points in his 31 minutes of game time. That about 1 point per minute! Durant has racked up a total of 115 points in his All-Star appearances. That’s the most points for a player in his first four All-Star Games in NBA history. Durant is also the first player to score at least 30 points in three consecutive NBA All-Star Games.
