Friday NBA Sees Bucks Visit Lakers – The 33-34 Milwaukee Bucks are on the road on the West Coast to face the reeling 20-48 Los Angeles Lakers.
The Bucks are holding onto the #7 seed in the East at this point and with the talent Milwaukee has they need to stay in the playoffs. The Lakers have fallen to the worst record in the Western Conference at this point and though there is no risk of the Nets catching them for the worst record in the league the team is still struggling, especially on defense and in just general consistency.
At this point, Milwaukee has watched “Greek Freak” Giannis Antetokounmpo morph into a full fledged star. They lost side kick Jabari Parker for the season so the Bucks have to stay focused since they aren’t at full strength. Tey are 7-1 in their last eight games and have been playing well. On Wednesday they escaped a road game in Los Angeles against the Clippers with a 97-96 victory.
The Lakers have lost three in a row and they have dropped eleven of their last twelve games. At this point first year coach Luke Walton likely wants to get through the season and assess the situation with new head honcho Magic Johnson. A high first round pick could result in the Lakers taking a point guard and ending the D’Angelo Russell experiment.
