NBA Eastern Conference Playoff Action For Sunday – The final pair of Eastern Conference playoff kick-off games are set for Sunday as the Hawks visit the Wizards and the Bulls head to Boston to battle the Celtics.

The early game sees the Hawks and the Wizards tangle again in the playoffs. These two teams have met in the playoffs before and this is likely to be the hardest fought series of the first round in the East. The Wizards started out the season poorly but surged into the fourth seed with strong play since January. The Wizards actually overtook the Hawks to win home field advantage in this series and that may turn out to be the difference in this series. The Wizards won the regular season series, going 3-1 against the Hawks.

The Boston Celtics overtook the Cleveland Cavaliers at the end of the season to win the number one seed in the East. The win sent a message to the Cavs and it also earned Boston a date with the hapless Chicago Bulls. The Bulls have Jimmy Butler and Dwayne Wade but the pair led the team to a 41-41 record and they barely held off the Miami Heat at the end of the season to get into the playoffs.

The Celtics have a lot to look forward to in the future. Through the old Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett trade they own the first pick in this year’s college draft and the assets already on board were enough to get the number one seed and should be enough to attract Butler, who is likely suiting up as a Bull for the last time.
