Baylor Visits Oklahoma State Wednesday Hoops – The #6 ranked Baylor Bears take their 20-3 overall record on the road to face the 15-8 Oklahoma State Cowboys.
This is the second meeting between the two teams as the squads met on the 7th of January and Baylor emerged with a tight 61-57 home victory. Baylor has taken two losses in a row in recent outings while the Cowboys have a nifty five game winning streak under their belts.
Baylor is led by power forward Johnathan Motley, who averages just over 16 points per game and just under 10 rebounds per game. The Cowboys are led by a three guard combo in Phil Forte III, Jeff Carroll and Jawum Evans who are all averaging in double figures for the year. The sophomore Evans averages 18.3 PPG which puts him second in the Big 12 in scoring and Forte III is shooting an eye popping 94.7% in his free throw shooting, which leads the entire NCAA.
Baylor has been the better team all year, but the mid season swoon here combined with the Cowboys refocused play make this one a near pick ’em game.

The Cowboys started out 0-6 in Big 12 play and that almost killed their season but they have been bounced back with a renewed effort on defense. The first meeting between the two teams saw Baylor lose the battle of the boards to the Cowboys, who grabbed 19 offensive rebounds, more than half their total. That is a good bit of work, as Baylor is the best rebounding team in the Big 12. Repeating that and shooting better at home and the Cowboy team that took out the Villanova Wildcats in Maui earlier this year might be seen again.
