MiamiCollege Football Sports Betting Preview: Clemson Tigers vs Miami (FL) Hurricanes

ACC cross-divisional rivals square off in a NCAA betting affair on Saturday when the Clemson Tigers (3-3 SU, 4-2 ATS) travel to south Florida to take on the Miami Hurricanes (5-1 SU, 4-1 ATS). Last week, Clemson put together their best performance of the college football wagering season, hammering Wake Forest 38-3 in Death Valley. As for the Hurricanes, after playing the most brutal opening stretch of any team in the country, they have coasted to two straight wins for Miami betting fans in their last two games against FAMU and UCF.

After a tough CFB betting loss in Maryland, Clemson was looking to make a statement and did it against Wake Forest last week. The Tigers raced out to a 31-3 first half lead en route to their 35 point NCAA wagering victory over the Demon Deacons. Running back C.J. Spiller had a great game despite getting fewer touches than he had in previous weeks, carrying the ball nine times for 106 yards and two touchdowns on the afternoon. Spiller's effectiveness on the ground helped young quarterback Kyle Parker guide the Tigers to victory. Parker completed 10 of 17 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown while also carrying the ball seven times for 31 yards and a touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, the Clemson defense showed once again that they are one of the best units in the ACC by holding Wake Forest to 178 total yards and forcing two interceptions out of QB Riley Skinner.

The Hurricanes have looked like one of the top teams in the country at times and will be looking to keep pace with ACC Coastal rivals Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech this Saturday. In last week's college football betting victory over Central Florida, the Canes looked good in their 27-7 win. QB Jacory Harris completed 20 of 26 passes for 293 yards and a touchdown for the Canes. Running backs Javarris James and Damien Berry did a good job of replacing starter Graig Cooper who was battling a hip injury. James and Berry combined to carry the ball 31 times for 125 yards and two touchdowns against the Golden Knights. Miami will look to do a much better job shutting down C.J. Spiller than Wake Forest did last week after holding UCF to just 53 yards on 24 carries.

NCAA gambling odds show the Hurricanes as a 4.5 point favorite in this game with a total of 42.5 points.
