PackersNFL Sports Betting Preview: Baltimore Ravens vs Green Bay Packers

Monday night football betting action features a pair of teams gunning for the playoffs tonight when the Baltimore Ravens (6-5 SU, 6-5 ATS) travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers (7-4 SU, 6-4-1 ATS).  Baltimore got a huge overtime win against Pittsburgh last Sunday night to keep itself in the AFC playoff picture, while Green Bay betting fans watched the Packers win their third straight game on Thanksgiving.

Many people thought that the Ravens would get past the Steelers with ease last week with Pittsburgh starting Dennis Dixon in place of Ben Roethlisberger, but Pittsburgh had other plans.  The Steelers defense kept the game close and Dixon put Pittsburgh on top midway through the fourth.  But John Harbaugh's gutsy call to go for it on fourth and five from their own 46 with four minutes left paid off with a big pass play to Ray Rice.  The Ravens defense then came up big and picked off Dixon in overtime to set up the winning score.  Baltimore betting fans however didn't get the win as the Ravens were lofty nine point favorites.  RB Ray Rice had a big game with 155 total yards against a solid Pittsburgh defense, while Mark Clayton caught seven passes for 129 yards.  QB Joe Flacco was big as well by completing 23 of 35 passes for 289 yards and a score.

Few quarterbacks have played as well as Aaron Rodgers has for the Packers this NFL wagering season and even more impressive is the fact that he has been doing it despite being the most sacked quarterback in the league.  Rodgers currently has a QB rating of 104.9 and has completed 65.5% of his passes for 3136 yards with 22 touchdowns against five interceptions.  He was huge again on Thanksgiving against the Lions, completing 28 of 39 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns in the Packers' football wagering victory.  WR Donald Driver had a huge game on the receiving end of many of Rodgers' passes, catching seven balls for 142 yards and a TD.  The Green Bay defense has also been smothering and is currently second in the NFL in total defense.  Charles Woodson is one of the leaders on this unit and forced three turnovers and scored a touchdown against Detroit last week.

NFL gambling odds have the Packers as a 3.5 point favorite in this game with a total of 43 points.
