1-4 -315 on Friday with a pass on Saturday which takes us to 9-6 +435 for the week. Four plays in nighttime action on Saturday.

NEW YORK METS (JON NIESE) AT WASHINGTON NATIONALS (JORDAN ZIMMERMAN) 10:35 AM PACIFIC

Mets have continued to dominate on the road (+15.9 units) and we’re getting a good price on them as they face Jordan Zimmerman in the series finale. Mets have won 8 of their last 12 while the Nats have dropped 9 of 12. We like Jordan Zimmerman a lot but he’s been rocked in his two most recent starts (12 ER allowed). Mets have taken 6 of 10 from the Nationals this season and given the disparate form of the teams we’ll stay on the visitors here.

Bet New York Mets (Niese) +113 over Washington Nationals (Zimmerman)

CHICAGO CUBS (RYAN DEMPSTER) AT ST. LOUIS CARDIINALS (JAKE WESTBROOK)

Jake Westbrook’s YTD numbers are pretty brutal but he’s looked sharp in his L2 starts. His presence in this matchup does give us a reasonable price on the Cards against the bumbling Cubs. Ryan Dempster still gets respect from the betting public, but he’s got a 4.98 road ERA and a 6.45 ERA road ERA. Cubs just an awful team, having lost 5 straight and 7 of 10 overall. Cards have won 7 of 8 head to head this year.

Bet St. Louis Cardinals (Westbrook) -140 over Chicago Cubs (Dempster)

>ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS (JOE SAUNDERS) AT LOS ANGELES DODGERS (RUBBY DE LA ROSA) 1:10 PM PACIFIC

De La Rosa is a beast and once he gets some more innings and better command of his pitches he’s going to be a dominant starter. For now, however, we’d rather back steady Joe Saunders and the underrated Arizona Diamondbacks. De La Rosa has a spiffy 1.59 ERA in his last three starts but its important to keep in mind that it game against two of the weakest hitting teams in the league (San Diego and San Francisco) and erratic Colorado. We’ll take the profitable Diamondbacks as underdogs here.

Bet Arizona Diamondbacks (Saunders) +110 over Los Angeles Dodgers (De La Rosa)

LOS ANGELES ANGELS (JERED WEAVER) AT DETROIT TIGERS (JUSTIN VERLANDER) 10:05 AM PACIFIC

Verlander is excellent, but Jered Weaver’s numbers are even better (1.79 ERA overall) and the Angels are red hot having won 7 of their last 10. Angels just two games behind Texas so we don’t expect any type of ‘let up’ in the last game of this series. We’ll gladly take the hotter team and statistically superior pitcher at an underdog price.

Bet Los Angeles Angels (Weaver) +120 over Detroit Tigers (Verlander)
