The Los Angeles Clippers (17-8) and Dallas Mavericks (17-11) will face off in a Western Conference affair Monday night inside the American Airlines Center.

Los Angeles Clippers at Dallas Mavericks

The Los Angeles Clippers have lost nine straight games versus the Dallas Mavericks in the Lone Star State

Los Angeles has won four of five games on its current six-game road trip and comes off an impressive 111-86 win over the Charlotte Bobcats as 9.5-point favorites.  The Clippers are 7-5 away from the Staples Center this season, including a 3-4 mark against Western Conference opponents.  The team has really been coming together offensively, scoring over 110 points three times this season.  “We’re still working on it, but it’s a lot of fun,” stated Clippers power forward Blake Griffin about the team coming together.  Los Angeles is 15-9 ATS and the “under” is 13-12 on the season.

The Clippers tallied a 91-89 win over the Mavericks in their first meeting this year as 3.5-point home underdogs on Jan. 18, but will now have to try and snap a nine-game losing streak in Dallas.  Los Angeles watched all five starters reach double figures in scoring last time out, which is the first time that’s happened in a road game since March 27, 1993.  The team is 13-0 on the year when allowing less than 96 points.

Dallas has won three games in a row and has also managed to go “over” the total in each of those contests, picking up a thrilling 97-94 overtime win over the Portland Trail Blazers as 4.5-point home favorites on Saturday.  The Mavericks will look to forward Dirk Nowitzki on the offensive end, as he’s averaged 26.4 points over his last five games.  He has tallied a 19-2 home record against tonight’s opponent in this career.  Dallas is 8-7 ATS at home and the “under” is 9-6 in those contests.

The Mavericks are 10-5 at home on the season, which includes an 8-3 mark versus Western Conference opponents.  Nowitzki averaged 20.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in four meetings with the Clippers in four meetings a year ago, but was limited to 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting in the first meeting this year.  Dallas has split its last six games, with the average margin of victory on either side being 7.2 points a contest.

Bettors will likely back the Clippers due to their 5-2 ATS mark versus winning teams, while the Mavericks are 0-4 ATS at home.

Recommendation: Los Angeles Clippers +4.5
