2014 NHL Stanley Cup Finals Odds | Game 5 Los Angeles Kings vs New York Rangers
Written by EyeOnGaming
The New York Rangers staved off a Stanley Cup loss in game 4, extending the NHL finals 1 more game and sending them back to Los Angeles for game 5. The Kings took the first 3 games of the finals 3-2. 5-4, and 3-0 win making a 7 game series highly unlikely. With the way they are scoring, the Kings should have the Stanley Cup wrapped up in 5 or 6 games.
The kings won each of the first 2 games of the series at home by 1 goal margins,
and as the series has progressed it has become obvious that LA is the superior team.
Last Monday night the kings dominated the New York Rangers in NY, 3-0, but the Rangers were able to come back and take game 4 in a 2-1 win on their home ice.
NHL Finals Odds | Game 5 Los Angeles Kings vs New York Rangers
Henrik Lundqvist, who faced 41 shots, including a third period in which the Kings outshot the home side 15-1, was brilliant. The Rangers were outshot 11-8 in the first period as well, but it’s doubtful that Lundqvist can keep up this pace or what some are calling “luck” for the remainder of the series.
The Kings are the better team and we expect them to take the series in 5 or 6 games total,
but the Rangers may have another win coming their way as the enthusiasm from game 4 could become contagious. We’ll take the kings at home as the price is still pretty low for game 5.
