March Madness is an exciting time of year for gamblers and sports fans.  We are inundated with college basketball games on television and we are often offered bracket sheets for recreational gamblers to compete against others, usually for small entry fees with large pay outs.  We have grown accustomed to hearing Dick Vitale screaming something like "Gonzaga and Duke baby!," and we find ourselves absorbed in much of this for an entire month.

Two of my favorite sports books that don't quite get the recognition they deserve are SOS @www.playlegal.com  (Sports Offshore) and CASCADE @www.betcascade.com. I have known both of the main guys powering these enterprises since my inception into the realm of online gambling back in the mid nineties.  Their leaders are honest, forthright, and passionate about giving customers a stellar product.

As I boarded my plane out of Norfolk, Virginia last Thursday afternoon, I had some very mixed feelings about returning to Panama. Unfortunately, the last time I visited this country, a sports book, namely BET PAN AM failed miserably and went out of business in less than six months. Since I endorsed them upon returning to the United States, I felt partially responsible for their demise, even though I had no financial interest in them, nor did I have any clue that Bet Pan Am would disintegrate.

There is often lopsided action on several games each NFL Sunday and week four was no exception.  The biggest decision in favor of the players was Sunday night's outcome between the Cardinals and Forty-Niners.  This massacre was witnessed by many Mexicans who paid dearly to get a glimpse of two horrible NFL teams.

In tonight's early game, the Giants are favored by 3.5 points over the Saints. If you were sharp enough to bet on the game earlier in the week, you would have been able to lay 3 flat.  Since most bettors wait until the day of the game, we are right to assume that professional gamblers moved this game to 3.5.

This is the question that a dispute resolution panel from TOW will be ruling on any day.  Before we get to the question, the sub plot is just as interesting.  While the player in question has agreed to abide by the panel's decision and drop the matter if he loses, the sports book in question has made no such commitment.
